Terms of Service

By accessing or using the APIGrid platform, API marketplace, or any related services ("Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our Services. These Terms apply to all users, including individual developers, businesses, and organizations that access our APIs or platform features.

APIGrid provides a unified API marketplace that gives developers access to a collection of production-ready REST APIs including, but not limited to, currency exchange, weather data, nutrition facts, IP geolocation, proxy detection, and other data services. We reserve the right to add, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our Services at any time with or without notice.

To access most Services, you must create an account and obtain an API key. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API key and all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate, complete, and current information when registering. You may not share your API key with third parties or use another user's API key without permission. APIGrid reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

You agree not to use the Services to: • Violate any applicable laws or regulations • Infringe upon intellectual property rights of third parties • Transmit malware, viruses, or malicious code • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems • Perform denial-of-service attacks or rate limit circumvention • Scrape, crawl, or harvest data in violation of our rate limits • Resell or redistribute API responses without a written agreement • Use the Services for illegal surveillance or tracking Violation of this policy may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without notice or refund.

Each API key is subject to rate limits based on your subscription tier. These limits are enforced to ensure fair access for all users and to protect the stability of our infrastructure. Attempts to circumvent rate limits through multiple accounts, proxy rotation, or other means are prohibited and will result in account termination.

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as explicitly stated in our refund policy. We reserve the right to change our pricing with 30 days' notice. Continued use of the Services after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing. Accounts with overdue balances may have their API access suspended until payment is received.

Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using our Services, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy. API response data is provided for use within your own applications. You may not sell, transfer, or sublicense raw API data to third parties without our explicit written consent.

All platform code, documentation, design, and brand assets are owned by APIGrid and protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without explicit written permission. You retain ownership of any data or content you submit to the platform. By submitting content, you grant APIGrid a limited license to process and display that content in connection with the Services.

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. APIGRID DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS. While we strive for high uptime (99.9% SLA on paid plans), we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access and are not liable for downtime caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, APIGRID SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS PAID BY YOU TO APIGRID IN THE THREE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via email or a prominent notice on our platform at least 14 days before taking effect. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of any revised Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.
